Getting Fit for Contact Lenses in Safford
A contact lens fitting is not the same as a standard eye exam. Your optometrist evaluates your prescription, the shape and health of your eye surface, and your daily needs before recommending a lens. A separate contact lens exam is required before lenses can be ordered. Your glasses prescription alone is not sufficient.
We fit soft contact lenses from trusted manufacturers including Acuvue Oasys, CooperVision Biofinity, and Alcon Precision1, as well as other major soft lens brands. For children whose prescriptions are progressing, Dr. Landon J. Montierth, O.D., has experience fitting MiSight® contact lenses as part of a myopia management plan.
Contact Lens Exams at Family Eye Center
A separate contact lens exam is required before you can be fitted for lenses, even if you have had a recent eye exam. This appointment allows your optometrist to evaluate whether your eyes are healthy enough for lens wear and to confirm a contact lens prescription, which is different from your glasses prescription.
